Cooking for other people—friends, dates, partners—is how I came to love cooking. No matter who it was for, one thing remained a constant: there was never a formal dining setup. Instead, we sat at coffee tables or hovered over kitchen counters. Rarely space for two, that closeness inspired the Date Plate.
